Construction is Underway!

It's official: construction is underway! We celebrated on Monday August 25th with a groundbreaking ceremony for Cedar Park One64, our first multifamily mixed-income development to get to the construction phase. We couldn't be more excited about this major milestone for our company. And we could not be more grateful to the team that helped get us here.

It was a time to remember our roots in Melrose as a young family, new business owners, and first time landlords as well as look forward to growing our company in new directions.

Cedar Park One64 is an 80 unit mixed-income, multi-family development permitted under Chapter 40B.  It will provide 20 units of affordable housing and will be Passive House Certified per the Specialized Stretch Energy Code adopted by the City of Melrose.  We are also proud to have worked cooperatively with the MBTA on this project as they granted us a use easement, to use their unused land adjacent to our site for additional parking and we have granted them an easement to use a pathway around our building to the sidewalk as an alternate exit off the adjacent MBTA Cedar Park Station platform.

Representatives from the City of Melrose, MassHousing, and the MBTA were on hand to speak in favor of the project and help turn a shovel of dirt to inaugurate construction.
