A Commitment to a Greener Future

Teaming up with ClearResult on Passive House Certification

While our groundbreaking ceremony celebrated the commencement of construction, our work to create a truly innovative and sustainable project is just beginning. We are honored to be partnering with our energy consulting firm, ClearResult, to guide the Cedar Park One64 project through the Passive House Certification process. Though our work with them is just underway, we can already see how invaluable their expertise will be.

Passive House is a rigorous international building standard that focuses on creating buildings with exceptional energy efficiency and superior indoor air quality.

By employing a super-insulated building envelope, airtight construction, and high-performance windows, Passive House Certified buildings can reduce heating and cooling energy consumption by up to 90%. This means a more comfortable, healthier, and quieter living experience for residents, with significantly lower utility bills.

Our commitment to this standard is a direct reflection of our belief that sustainable development is not just an option—it is a responsibility. Furthermore, this commitment aligns with the City of Melrose's vision for a greener future. The city's recent adoption of the Specialized Stretch Energy Code now requires Passive House Certification for projects of our size, and we are proud to be one of the first developments to meet this new, forward-thinking standard.

Working with ClearResult, we are confident that we have the right team to achieve this ambitious certification. Their guidance and deep knowledge of energy modeling, sustainable materials, and construction best practices are already proving essential. We look forward to sharing our progress as we move forward with this vital part of the construction process.
